Micheal Vs Emmett Poster 2019

Michael vs. Emmett is a dramatic character poster created for the Thibodeaux universe, depicting an intense standoff between two major figures—Emmett, the masked butcher accompanied by his monstrous beasts, and Micheal, the armored hero preparing for confrontation. The poster blends stylized character art with a fiery, chaotic backdrop of demonic goats and horned creatures to establish scale, threat, and narrative tension.

My Role

Sole Creator: Responsible for all modeling, sculpting, rigging, texturing, lighting, rendering, FX, layout, and final compositing.

Responsibilities:

• Character Design & Sculpting:

  • Modeled and textured Emmett, including his gas mask, muscular silhouette, and heavy butcher’s axe.

  • Created his two monstrous bull-like companions with glowing eyes, exaggerated anatomy, and stylized fur details.

  • Designed and sculpted Micheal, including his armor, helmet, and weaponry, capturing a heroic counter-pose to Emmett.

• Creature Horde Illustration:

  • Built the massive demonic hog-head collage forming the fiery backdrop.

  • Sculpted each head variation, mixing horns, teeth, and snarling silhouettes to create a wall of overwhelming threat.

• Rigging:

  • Fully rigged all characters and creatures, enabling dynamic posing and interaction.

  • Used custom rigs to position Michael’s stance, Emmett’s defensive posture, and the animalistic tension in the monsters.

• Lighting & Rendering:

  • Developed a high-contrast, infernal lighting setup with deep shadows, ember glows, and rim lights to highlight the characters.

  • Used warm–cool lighting contrast to separate heroes from villains and enhance dramatic focus.

• Cinematic Composition:

  • Arranged the scene like a classic action poster, balancing foreground characters with the chaotic monster collage behind them.

  • Added dust, sparks, and atmospheric haze to heighten scale and drama.

• Compositing & Graphic Design:

  • Color-graded the final output to unify the fiery tone.

  • Designed typography for the title and side banner to match pulp-inspired action poster aesthetics.
