Toto Toilet Flush Valve 2022

A product installation animation demonstrating the assembly and function of TOTO’s toilet flush valve system. The project combined accurate product modeling, clean educational visuals, and technical callouts to guide viewers through each installation step.

My Role:

Responsible for modeling, rigging, animation prep, rendering, and compositing, with final style direction guided by the Art Director.

Responsibilites:

Product Modeling: Using client-provided photos and a real-world sample unit, I modeled the flush valve accurately to real-world scale.
Materials & UVs: Applied materials and used box UVW modifiers for efficient texturing and clean shading.
Rigging: Rigged the connecting wires and moving components to support installation animation steps.
Camera & Animation Support: Helped set up animation sequences and ensured all components moved cleanly through each installation stage.
Text & Graph Overlays:
- Created the text and graph overlays shown at 0:09–0:26
- Designed the Offset Pipe Wrench overlay at 2:48–2:49
- Added the 2:56 overlay sequence
Animated Callouts: Implemented animated callouts with client-approved text for clarity during installation steps.
Rendering: Rendered all sequences using Redshift for sharp, clean product presentation.
Compositing: Composited the final footage in After Effects, applying color correction and style treatments consistent with the Art Director’s direction.
