Chelsea Park Concept Project 2023
An Unreal Engine 5 architectural visualization created as a proof of concept for a new park development near a reservoir in Chelsea, Oklahoma. The project showcased proposed layout, park features, and visual atmosphere through real-time rendering and cinematic camera work.
My Role:
Worked alongside my Art Director, contributing to camera layout, environment assembly, asset creation, and Unreal Engine integration. This project also served as a valuable learning opportunity, allowing me to study the Art Director’s workflow and scene construction approach.
Responsibilities:
Camera Setup: Created initial cinematic camera paths, later refined by the Art Director for the final sequence.
Scene Assembly: Helped build parts of the environment, placing assets, props, and layout elements within the Unreal Engine 5 scene.
Modeling: Modeled several park assets and imported them into Unreal via Datasmith.
Spline-Based Layout: Used spline tools to create and shape sections of the dirt road system in the park environment.
Learning Experience: While supporting the project, I studied the Art Director’s scene structure, lighting setup, foliage workflow, and environment-building techniques to strengthen my Unreal Engine skillset.
Compositing: Assisted with compositing the rendered footage in After Effects to finalize the look, color, and presentation.
Software used: 3ds Max, Unreal Engine 5, and After Effects.
